Janice Hardy

Janice Hardy

Janice joins COREcruitment more than 5 years ago from a promising background in the licensed retail trade and guest services. Janice has worked and studied internationally, completing her degree in Las Vegas, she excelled in her state-side hospitality studies, specifically in the area of finance. During her time in America Janice had extensive experience of dealing with challenging clients in a high profile guest relations role. Upon her return to London she completed one of the industry's finest management development programs with an up market wine merchants.

Janice is a friendly and outgoing individual who has proven herself to be determined in her actions and keen to succeed! She will focus mostly on management opportunities within the fast world of retail catering and the highly competitive contract catering market.

Krishnan Doyle

Krishnan Doyle

Krishnan has over 10 years market experience, focussing extensively in Europe, the Middle East and South America. Coupled with his operational background, Krishnan has also studied in Hospitality, Tourism and Facility Management in Spain and Holland, achieving a joint honours degree from one of Europe’s top Business Schools. Most recently Krishnan has also achieved qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD), the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Development & Organisational Culture from a prominent London University. Krishnan led a team at one of the UK’s specialist hospitality agencies.

Krishnan enjoys travelling and his favourite experience was teaching English to children in Eastern Europe as part of an outreach programme, he continued this work through teaching in the shantytowns of Rio de Janeiro.

Michelle Wells

Michelle Wells

Michelle Wells is a highly motivated and passionate senior recruiter with an excellent track record in placing chefs of all levels and FOH staff with a retention level that is the envy of any recruitment consultant.

Michelle comes from a strong restaurant operations background in South Africa, starting off at St Elmos in Hout Bay and then to the famous Mariners Wharf. Loving the hospitality industry, Michelle did her Hotel Management Diploma at Grainger Bay Hotel School and then to the bright lights of London. Completing a year at The Langham Hilton 5* Hotel as a Front Office Receptionist and then eventually joining the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie where she worked her way through reception, reservations and the Finance Department where she balanced the books for this Harvey Nichols owned company. Bit of a career change saw, Michelle join the recruitment sector where she worked for another hospitality agency, mentored by Krishnan Doyle and when Krishnan took the opportunity to start CORE, Michelle joined him 6 months later, focusing on Chef Recruitment. In November 2009, Michelle made the decision to come back to Cape Town and so the idea for the SA and International Division was born!

Her recruitment skills are based upon understanding the needs of her clients and her candidates, always integrating with them to make the right match!

Sonja Grothoff

Sonja Grothoff

Sonja has been working in the hospitality industry since 2001 starting of in hotels and contract catering whilst studying for her hotel management degree.

After finishing her studies she gained valuable experience on the London and international 5* hotel market working in various departments including Front Desk, F&B, Revenue and HR.

Due to her varied background her strength lays within the recruitment of high quality front and back of house staff across all operational departments from junior management up to Regional Directors Level.

She believes that understanding the individual hotel operations and anticipating the clients’ recruitment needs is just as important as to understand the candidates’ personal requirements in their job search to find the right match.

Sonja Grothoff

Clive Yeates – Consultant

Clive joined COREcruitment having previously come from a chef background working in some of London’s top rosette and Michelin restaurants

Clive then spent a year working for one of the best fine food suppliers to the Capital and the UK helping them to set up a new fruit and vegetable division getting produce direct from the Paris and Italian markets.

Since becoming a consultant he has forged a strong working relationship with some of the country’s leading restaurants, Gastros and hotels and they trust his judgment to find them the perfect match for their requirements

In his spare time he likes to watch sport, eat out, visit chefs and grow his own herbs and vegetables weather permitting!!
